CyberVerse Introduces Major Egg & Pet System Overhaul
CyberVerse has announced a major redesign of its Egg and Pet systems, shifting toward a more structured, gameplay-integrated approach as part of its upcoming Survival Expansion.
The update focuses on rebuilding pets into a core gameplay feature rather than a standalone collection system, with new mechanics planned for progression, breeding, and long-term ecosystem balance.
Due to the size and complexity of the existing pet collection, the team confirmed that a revised system is needed to better support future gameplay features and ensure smoother integration into the evolving game world.
A New Direction for CyberEggs and CyberPets
The updated pet ecosystem will be split into two distinct systems: Genesis Pets and Classic Pets, each serving a different role in the long-term economy and gameplay structure of CyberVerse.
CyberEggs / CyberPets – Genesis System
Genesis Pets represent the foundational layer of the new pet economy. These are designed as long-term assets with structured breeding, progression potential, and deeper gameplay integration.
Core Features
- Genesis Pets cannot be permanently destroyed — death results in gameplay consequences only
- Fully breedable system forming the base genetic pool for future generations
- Limited-time mint event planned for March
Legacy Support
Players holding Eggs and Pets 1.0 on the Ergo blockchain will receive an in-game airdrop of Eggs 2.0 based on the rarity of their original assets.
- Approximately 608 legacy Eggs/Pets will be distributed
- Rarity will match original holdings
- Older NFT Pets will be retired from the main ecosystem and repurposed for the Racing Game
Genesis Mint Details
- Mint Location: In-game Shop
- Price: $10 per Egg
- Supply: 1614
- Mint Duration: 30 days
- Mint Date: March 11 (TBA confirmation)
Genesis Egg Rarity Distribution
- Common: 45%
- Uncommon: 30%
- Rare: 15%

Genesis Hatching System (Temporary)
During the Genesis phase, Eggs will follow a shared global timer instead of individual hatching cycles. Eggs will become ready to hatch once the mint period ends.
- Hatching location: Pet Lab Building
- Players interact with the Egg Incubator to reveal pets
- Hatching is triggered after the global countdown reaches zero
- Special reveal animation for Genesis Pets
Hatching Event Delay & Egg Drop Extension
The Hatching Event has been delayed to allow additional time for refinement. The team stated that the priority is to ensure the pet art matches the intended quality and style of CyberVerse rather than rushing the release.
To support this, the Egg Drop period has been extended by an additional two months, giving players more time before the Genesis rollout fully begins.
CyberEggs / CyberPets – Classic System
The Classic Pet system represents the long-term, gameplay-driven version of pets in CyberVerse, focused on progression, risk, and sustainability.
Core Features
- Pets can permanently die, adding risk and resource management
- Fully breedable system
- No direct minting — obtained exclusively through gameplay
Acquisition Methods
- Loot drops in Survival mode
- Egg hatching systems
- Breeding outcomes
Classic Pets are intended to form the core population of the ecosystem, supporting long-term gameplay progression and in-game balance.
Final Notes
The CyberEggs Genesis mint is planned for March 11, introducing the first stage of the new pet ecosystem within CyberVerse.
The Hatching Event delay and Egg Drop extension are part of a broader effort to improve quality and ensure the system is properly aligned with the Survival Expansion.
More updates will follow as development progresses toward the Genesis release.
